These engagement photos taken inside of the State Capitol in Jeff City Missouri were so stunning!

If your vibe is classy, architectural, and absolutely stunning, Jefferson City has the perfect backdrop for your engagement session. Every bit of Olivia and Sawyer’s engagement session was so enjoyable: chasing the light around the Capitol, finding pockets of sunshine to step into, and making some fun, creative moments to put in their wedding invitations.

Even though the Capitol was under construction, we had no problems finding some of the cutest spots to grab all of these perfect indoor photos.

We started right inside of the main circle on the first floor we came to and the haze on the lens and the soft warm light filling the room made for some of the dreamiest first few photos! From there we began to explore what was available to us (and ran into quite a few helpful government employees on the way – the hospitality was incredible!).

This little window area was the next spot we found and it was so warm and cozy in that little corner of the Capitol, some of my favorite photos were taken right here!

Finally we ended back in the main portion where the bulk of the construction was being done on the main entrance, but it didn’t hinder getting some of the most ethereal images.

If you’re looking for somewhere with a lot of structure and unique spots indoors for photographs, definitely stop by the Missouri State Capitol for your engagement photos! It’s such a sweet way to tie in your wedding photos, if you plan to marry within Jeff City and go to the Capitol Steps for the wedding party photos.
